Darren joined Henry Carus + Associates in November 2017, shortly after completing his Bachelor of Laws/ Bachelor of Arts degree at Deakin University.

Whilst Darren was undergoing his studies, he underwent work as a volunteer Paralegal for Social Security Rights Victoria, where he helped assist a number of people with disabilities gain access to social security benefits.

This inspired Darren to start a legal career in personal injury law, in order to help vulnerable members of the community gain access to justice.

Darren initially started working as a member of the firm’s New Client Services team, and then progressed into both Legal Assistant and Paralegal roles.

Whilst working as a Paralegal under the tutelage of Principal, Henry Carus, and Associate, Jessica King, Darren gained extensive experience in drafting WorkCover and TAC serious injury applications.

Now as a Lawyer, Darren independently manages a combination of WorkCover, TAC and public liability matters under Henry’s supervision.

Darren prides himself on clear and effective communication and explaining complex legal matters in a simple and straightforward manner.

He is passionate and determined about ensuring that our clients achieve the most optimal outcome.

Outside of work, Darren can be found competing on the soccer pitch for his team, Old Trinity Grammarians, or cheering on his beloved Essendon Football Club.
