The Story about this Public Liability Claim

Colleen met with us after tripping on a footpath whilst on her daily walk around her neighborhood.
A section of the concrete footpath on her street had been excavated for water works which she did not see.
Sadly we discovered that the organisations responsible for excavating the footpath failed to do anything to repair the footpath when the works were completed.
Not only that, nothing was done to cordon off the depression, or otherwise warn pedestrians of the risk of tripping.
Colleen fell on her face and suffered serious injuries to her teeth and facial nerves, which have left her with pain, numbness and sensitivity in her face. Colleen became very conscious of her appearance after the accident.
Our investigations revealed that the footpath had been left in that condition for several months before Colleen tripped. We discovered that others had fallen in the same place, including an elderly gentleman and a child.
With all of the evidence we were able to obtain, we negotiated a good settlement for Colleen, without ever seeing the inside of a courtroom.
