The Story about this Public Liability Claim

Marlene had been taken for a night out in the city by her daughter. As they were trying to leave the car park afterwards, Marlene suffered a serious fall and fractured both of her ankles. She and her husband were unsure if they should worry about trying to get compensation at first, but their costs started to really add up. In July 2015 I fell over in a city car park, fortunately I was with my daughter and she was able to drive me home. On our way home my ankles began to swell and when we arrived home I was unable to get out of the car due to incredible pain in both my legs. My husband and daughter took me straight to hospital where I was diagnosed with two broken legs.

During the next weeks in hospital and rehabilitation it was brought to my attention that I may have a compensation claim against the car park owners. Being more interested in getting back to my normal self and wellbeing I did not think any more about it. About one year later we started adding up the costs we had incurred. Even though we have private health cover there were costs that weren't covered and we also had to change our bathroom to enable me to shower with reasonable confidence and safety as I was unstable on my legs. We decided that we might look into the possibility of recouping some of our costs.

After consulting two of the most advertised companies in this field we decided it was all too hard and a bit too stressful for me as I was still having bad flash backs to my fall and waking through the night having dreamt I was falling.
